“Tea makes things better” is a sentiment that rings so true to me. Come and celebrate the comfort and togetherness a cup of tea (or coffee) can bring by capturing this british tradition onto canvas. We will look at the cubist works on Ben Nicholson, who has created some fantastic afternoon tea scenes and then explore how we can translate a simple still life, into something a bit more funky and abstract.

I will walk you through simple exercises that help you let go of detail and find your own way to express your style.

In this collage workshop we will play with colour, shape and magazines and create our own abstract afternoon tea.

And of course we will break at half time for tea, helping us to immerse our senses in the wonderful taste and warmth as well as the visual joy that tea can bring!

Where

Workshops are held in Studio H, my gorgeous garden studio nestled in Heavitree, Exeter.

What's included

All art materials, including paint and canvas, are provided, along with mid-morning cake and tea or coffee to keep you refreshed. Enjoy a fun, friendly, and supportive workshop atmosphere—please let me know if you have any dietary requirements or allergies.
