“Evening Glow” was created in response to the gorgeous sunsets we can sometimes be treated to over the estuary that leads from Exeter to the sea.  This particular scene is taken from the view of the estuary towards Starcross from Lympstone.  I have enjoyed some spectacular sunsets this year, with skies so red and pink, it is almost as if they were on fire.  I wanted to convey both the power of the skies with the calm of the boats resting on the estuary and enjoy how calm, next to power can find a harmonious place.

This is an acrylic on canvas painting and is varnished and ready to hang.
