Fabulous Fruit Bowls Workshop
Exploring modern still life through colour, composition, and expressive painting
In this indulgent workshop we will use a radiant, still life – so good you could eat it – to inspire us and work from. We will also look at contemporary artists who have mastered modern and abstracted fruit bowl still life. We will study the beautiful shapes, colours and compositions that make this healthy feast pop on paper.
Through practice sketches and team work we will reflect and iterate towards a main paint on canvas.
Along the way we will discuss colour theory, underpaintings and mark-making but it will feel relaxed and uplifting. You will go home with your own fruit bowl masterpiece and a wonderful memory of 3-4 hours of glorious escapism and fun.
