Spring Table Delights

Spring Table Delights was painted at the end of February when the daffodils were in full swing!  As some of the first flowers of the year, they fill me with optimism and I see them as little beams of sunshine that you can arrange on a table.  There is something very comforting about a cup of tea mid afternoon and 10 minutes rest to peruse a book and switch off and simply enjoy the moment of calm – if you are lucky enough to find that snippet of time – and this painting represents those moments.

We always have apples as a handy snack and the gala variety are looking so beautiful at the moment with all the flecks of pinks and bright greens, that they just had to be included.
