LOVE

Have you ever fallen in love so much with something that it makes you smile every time you look at it and fills you with a glowing happiness? Well, who’d have thought you could feel so happy looking at a vase of flowers but this is what happened to me. I bought a selection of three flowers – in my layman terms, they were peonies, thistles and daisies – and put them together in a beautiful old cobalt-blue jug and boom – I was in love. I shared a workshop with them as the focus and some beautiful paintings emerged and I too couldn’t resist and painted a small still life too.

But the passion for this bunch of flowers was just so strong that the very next day, I embarked on a massive paint to capture all the joy and love I felt for these flowers and the celebration of summer that was just starting. And here is it – at 105cm x 105cm, LOVE was created in gorgeous, zingy acrylics and guaranteed to spread the love in any room in rests.
